Sex In The Time Of The Social Media Share Button

I am sure all of us have heard some juicy story of a relationship gone sour and one party or both parties airing all their “dirty” bedroom laundry to friends and family. In a very few instances , the sex gossip will be accompanied with an under/over exposed , kodak instant photo. As the receiver of those details, depending on our personality, we might have a giggle, be disgusted or be indifferent. In the days before, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and all of the rest, that would have been it, most likely. The gossip will soon be taken over by the fact that we have jobs to go to, uni to attend and kids to raise.

Now a days however life has become a complete different ball game and some of us are still playing catch up! Including the game of dating, read :Sex.

Those of us ,who enjoy having our sex-a-capes, filmed and photographed, now are facing a dilemma :Are we still going to be indulging ourselves in these practises with our partners and thereby, risking global exposure, if the relationship goes pear shape and leave our playmates disgruntled for one reason or another, or are we going to refrain ourselves from doing what we enjoy, just to stay safe?

And if we decide to still go ahead and get ourselves and our sex mate, videoed and photographed, do we now have to make up non-disclosure contracts?

As an adult, I stand by the choices I make and consider myself confident and strong enough to deal with any potential backlash.

I will not allow the “Social Media Share Button” rule or ruin my life.

If you are a vindictive person and thinking of exposing your once loved one, by clicking on buttons, I would like to suggest, you take a good, long look in the mirror and ask yourself some hard questions: Why you feel the need to do this? and what does that say about you as person? What do you hope to accomplish ? Is it going to be beneficial for you in any shape or form?

Work on yourself, develop yourself, enjoy yourself, love yourself and you will find your special one and build that strong, loving, passionate, adventures relationship. Together you will create the ultimate blockbuster movie: Your Life.

Now that will be a movie to hit the Share button for!

Ps: If you need some external help in achieving the Best Version of Yourself, feel free to get in touch with me.

I Am Not My Hair

Yes, I have done it, I have cut my hair!!

For a while I have been contemplating cutting of my hair and go natural, so last night I decided to be like Nike:”Just do it!”

Within the black community, there is currently an increase of the “natural hair “debate.

So many consider relaxing, wearing weave on/extensions etc as conforming to the Western World’s view of beauty, thereby denying their cultural heritage and beauty , propagating that White is beautiful and Black is ugly and /or inferior. Others are of the opinion that their hair style choice has nothing to do with their perception of Self and culture. Both parties have strong , compelling arguments.

For me personally it’s about choice, versatility. To quote the chorus of  an India Arie song:” I am not my hair.”

I am the sum total of so many different aspects of me, my hair is just a tiny part of that and even though I have cut my hair, I will still wear my wigs as that is a part of who I am too.

Now to figure out what colour I should colour my hair 🙂 Any suggestions? x xImageImageImageImageimage

The Bible? Questioning Our Believe System (Part1)

So let’s start by the beginning;

Genesis 2 : 9&15

“9 The Lord God placed all kinds of beautiful trees and fruit trees in the garden. Two other trees were in the middle of the garden. One of the trees gave life—the other gave the power to know the difference between right and wrong.

15 The Lord God put the man in the Garden of Eden to take care of it and to look after it. 16 But the Lord told him, “You may eat fruit from any tree in the garden, 17 except the one that has the power to let you know the difference between right and wrong. If you eat any fruit from that tree, you will die before the day is over!”

James 1:13

“13 Don’t blame God when you are tempted! God cannot be tempted by evil, and he doesn’t use evil to tempt others.”

Question 1: The tree of Life; What  is meant with giving LIFE and the subquestion is: Life to Whom or What?

Question 2:  Adam & Eve did not know evil  yet (deducted from above quoted verses) so how could they know that eating from the fruit despite being told not to was a sin(disobedient)

Question 3: Why would you surround someone with all their favourite foods, toys, gadgets, (whatever floats their boats) and in the midst of that put the Ultimate Favorite and tell them not to eat, play, touch…..sounds like temptation to me…yet the bible says god doesn’t tempt us.

Come on let’s reason together, feel free to comment and ask questions.

Rules for the debate : Please don’t swear, do not engage in personal attacks.

Bounce, Bounce, Bounce!

It’s 05:45 a.m, I can hear my friend’s toddler running up and down, attempting to open the bedroom door.

He’s excited, life is a one big adventure for him,he’s eagerly waiting for his playmates, my kids and I ,to wake up. Even though he’s coughing  and has a running nose, things which will make us adults, moan, and whinge, he’s a two year old light bolt, packed with energy!

As soon as he hears movement downstairs, he runs down, calls out the names of my kids, jumping up and down ;it’s playtime! My suitcase becomes a treasure chest when opened and a trampoline when closed.

Whilst I was observing this burst of sunshine running about, the thought came to mind, that this is the way we should live our lives.

Waking up with excitement, ready to play with our business partners, colleagues, classmates.Challenges are treasure chest, full of value life treasures, once we have dealt with the challenge, the same challenge becomes our trampoline, allowing us to bounce to a new level.

I am ready, will I meet you in the playground?

Bounce, bounce, bounce!!

Think BIG!!

Earl Nightingale states that :”Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve!”

Let’s pause for a moment and think about this statement…….and take it apart…

The same as a woman can’t conceive without receiving something from the men. In order for the mind to conceive, it needs input.

What are you feeding your mind? What are the books you read, the music you listen to, the movies you watch, the people you associate with ,what is it that you are putting in your mind? If you want to achieve great success, optimum health, great riches or whatever success connote to you, feed your mind the right ingredients.

Okay, so your mind has conceived your dream, your vision, the next step is to believe your dream and your vision. What is it that obstructs your believe? Age? Search for people who achieved great things in the latter part of their life. Lack of education? A whole heap of people who we consider to be successful have not gone further then secondary school. Whatever your excuse, that’s exactly what it is: an excuse. Get rid of your excuses!

Right, so our mind has conceived and believed, now the last part: achieve.

Those of you who are familiar with The Law Of Attraction, know that once you have completed part 1&2 of the statement mentioned above, part 3 becomes a breeze as, you will start working towards achieving your goal, things will start happening, opportunities will present themselves, people will come into your life, all to aid in this last part.

There is nothing you can not achieve or obtain in this life, just believe it and you can achieve it.

Think BIG and you will achieve BIG

You can have this
You can have this
You can have this
